                                   Planets in the Solar System



The Solar system is consist of the sun and the other objects in the space like planets and asteroids. The principal component of the solar system is the sun, a main sequence G2 star that contains 99.86 percent of the systems known mass and dominates it gravitationally. The solar system is also composed of many elements like Hydrogen,Methane,Carbon Dioxide, and etc.There are 4 smaller planets, Mercury,Venus ,Earth and Mars also called terrestrial planets because these planets are composed of rocks and metals. The 4 outer planets, or the gas giants are substantially more massive than the terrestrials.The 2 largest  planets in the solar system are Jupiter and Saturn are composed of Hydrogen and Helium and the 2 outermost planets are Uranus and Neptune that are composed largely of ice such as water, ammonia and Methane and mostly are called "ICE GIANT".
                                             


Inner Planets
The inner planets or terrestrial planets have dense, rocky, compositions few or no moons and no ring system.
                                                   
                                                                   

Mercury
             Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun and the smallest planet in the Solar system and it has no natural satellites, and its only known geological featuers besides impact craters are lobed ridges or rupees, probably produced by a period of contraction early in its history.

                                                       
Venus
         Venus is close size to Earth , and like Earth, it has a thick silicate mantle around an iron core, a substantial atmosphere and evidence geological activity. However it is much drier than Earth and its atmosphere is 90 times as dense and it has no natural satellites unlike Earth.

                                                   
Earth
        Earth is the largest and densest of the inner planets, the only one known to have current geological activity, and is the only place in the Solar system where life id known to exist. Earth's atmosphere is radically different from those of the planets, having been altered by the presence of life to contain 21 percent free oxygen. It has one natural satellite called Moon, and the only large satellite of a terrestrial planet on the Solar system.

                                                     

Mars
        Mars is smaller than Earth and Venus. It possesses an atmosphere of mostly Carbon Dioxide with surface pressure of 6.1 millibars. Its surface, peppered with vast volcanoes such as Olympus Mons and Rift Valleys such as Valles Mai neris, shows geological activity that may have persisted until as recently 2 million years ago.
               
                                                         

Outer Planets 
           The 4 outer planets or gas giants( Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune) collectively make up 99 percent of the mass known to orbit the Sun. All 4 gas giants have rings, although only Saturn's ring system is easily observed from Earth.

                                                                 

Jupiter
          Jupiter is composed largely of Hydrogen and Helium. Jupiter's strong internal heat creates a number of semi-permanent features in its atmosphere, such as cloud bands and the Great Red Spot. Jupiter has 63 known satellites. the 4 largest satellites are Gany Mede, Callisto, Lo, and Europa. Gany Mede is the satellite which is larger than Mercury

                                                                   

Saturn
         Saturn, distinguished by its extensive ring system, has several similarities to Jupiter such as its atmospheric composition and magnetosphere.The rings of Saturn are made up of small ice and rock particles. Saturn has g2 confirmed satellites. The 2 larger satellites are Titan and Enceladus, show signs of geological activity, though they are made up of ice. Titan also larger than Mercury and the only satellite in the Solar system with substantial atmosphere.

                                                                     

Uranus
         Uranus is the lightest if the outer planets. It is very unique among the planets, it orbits the Sun on its side. Its axial tilt is over 90 degrees to elliptic. It has a much colder core than the outer gas giants and radiates very little heat into space. It has 27 satellites the largest is the Titania, Oberon, Umbriel, Ariel and Miranda.

                                                               
Neptune
           Neptune is smaller than Uranus, it radiates more internal heat, but not as much as Jupiter and Saturn. Neptune has 13 satellites. The largest is Triton and is geologically active with geysers of liquid Nitrogen. Triton is the only large satellite with a retrograde orbit. It is accompanied in its orbit by a number og minor planets termed Neptune trojans.


                                                             





                          Extra Terrestrial




Extra terrestrial life comes from a latin word: extra or "beyond" on "not of" and  terrestris "of on belonging to Earth" is defined as life that does not originate from Earth.Also called alien life, or simply aliens, are hypothetical forms of life range from simple bacteria-like organisms to beings far more advanced than humans. The development of theories about extra terrestrial life id known as exobiology and astrobiology. Many prominent scientists consider extra terrestrial life to be plausible, but the scientific community does not currently recognize any verifiable evidence of such life. Alien life has been theorizes to exist in the Solar system and quite possibly throughout the universe. According to scientists Carl Sagan and Stephen Hawking, it would be improbable for life not to exist somewhere other than Earth.This argument is embodied in the Copernican principle, which states that the earth does not occupy a favored position in the universe, and the mediocrity principle , which holds that there is nothing special about life on Earth. In May 2011, NASA scientists reported that Enceladus (Saturn's Moon) is emerging as the most habitable spot beyond the Earth in the Solar system for life as we know it.


 No samples of extra terrestrial life has been found.However, various controversial claims have been made for evidence of extra terrestrial life.Beliefs that some undefined flying objects (UFO) are of extra terrestrial origin, along with claims of alien abduction by most scientist.
